It's a party!

Parks has turned 2!!! I still can't believe that it was 2 yrs. ago that I gave birth to him. Time just seems to go by faster and faster when you have a child or children. I am enjoying being a mom. It has been such a huge blessing.  Our entire family came over to celebrate P man's big day. So here are a bunch of random photo's that I've compiled together from the extravaganza. Thanks to all our family that came over. It was nice to have you all here.... and thank you so much for the gifts!

As a human being.

As a spiritual being I have had so many opportunities to remember where I came from, why I am here, and what my real purpose in this life is. I think we all often forget these things. Watching Steph's video I totally felt the spirit. Her spirit.
It's such a blessing to be able to be reminded and to feel the Holy Ghost and feel of Christ's love. This life is such a small part of the "big" picture. How truly excited I am to see the "entire" picture in it's full one day. To be with my fellow friends and family who have passed on and to be at THE full potential that I can be as a spirit. I can't wait for the moment where I will be able to be with Christ again...and to know him, to be able to feel of his warmth, kindness and his love. I am so grateful to know the truth.. and to be a part of such an amazing church. I feel like thus far my journey on earth has been well worth every tear, fall, kick, push, laugh, hug, kiss.... . "I  never said it would be easy, just that it would be worth it...."

Mother's day

This last Mother's Day was awesome. Tyson sent Flowers to my work on Saturday, and I was very surprised. It totally made my day... and that they were tulips!!! I love Tulips... Roses often remind me of funerals, so I would say I'm not as keen to roses. =/ Anyhow, so then Tys had written me a card with lots of cute mushy things that really made me giddy. At the end of the card it said that I could pick out a swimsuit of my own choice for an extra "Mother's Day Gift". So I bought this little number from the Shade store {love it}:
I love being a mother. I have learned so much... not just about about the "duties of a mother" but about lots of things...including about myself. It's been an amazing two years with an amazing son, and amazing 3 years with my husband. I'm very happy to be where I am right now and thank my lucky stars {and the lord} for all that I've been blessed with.
xoxo

Sewing

I haven't sewn in about 6 years until recently.. and I really enjoy it. I'm still learning but it has become a real hobby of mine. I've sewn curtains, and pillows, and now I'm making a dress. I'm really excited to be doing it, but my projects seem to have a few "hidden" mistakes.. oh well, Hopefully no one will look to close to notice.

Happy Easter

Lately things have changed in mine, and my spouse's lives. We both have had so much spiritual growth over this last year. This last Conference had some of the most interesting and vital talks. I don't think it could have been on a better day.. I almost think that General Conference should always be held on Easter.. I have had an entirely new perspective on Conference as I get older. It draws me in so much more... and I feel eager to learn, eager to hear what the prophet has to say. I know, with out a shadow of a doubt, that my redeemer lives. I use to have moments in my life where I wasn't really SURE that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true, If it was the ONLY true and living church upon the earth. But today, I am sure. I know. I feel the lord in my life, in my home. The church has grown so much since the day it was organized in 1830... I am so grateful to have been born into the gospel. That my parents have eagerly worked to keep the priesthood and the gospel in there home, that I was able to grow up around the truth. I'm so grateful for the opportunity we now have to share the gospel with others, and give them the joy that we feel daily. This is an amazing gospel. I'm so excited about the lord's work. We, who are born in the church, and we as converts... isn't it so great to know... to KNOW this church is true?? :) This is my testimony, in the name of Jesus the Christ, Amen.
