Parks {&} the Christmas tree

This is Parks playing under his Gammy's Christmas Tree...
He loved it!

P.s.
FYI
I am still planning on going private eventually...
however,
I have a lot of family who look at my blog and who do not have a blogger account so I still need to get all of there emails in order to make my blog private and viewable to them.

The year two.thousand.and.eight.

I thought I would share a few memories and events of this past year for us.

Last year in September we found out we were pregnant. The both of us were very excited but also very nervous to become parents... immediately Tyson decided he wanted to name our son, Parks, however, It wasn't on my list of favorite names! My grandmother, Beth, died on November 24th, of 2007. Right before she passed away she called to tell me and my family that I would be having a boy. I was a little surprised and at the time just thought that my grandma was being a little loony... little did I know, she was right. When my family and I went to her burial, she was buried next to her dad, my great grandfather, Heber Park Brockbank. So, I went home and decided that "Park" and "Parks" were very similar, so I gave in. So, on May 16th, 2008 we welcomed our very first son, Parks Adam. The experience of having a child is indescribable... I'm so grateful to have been able to have had the opportunity to bear a child.

We blessed our son when he was just 3 weeks old because Tyson's brother was leaving on a mission to Chile and we wanted him to be able to stand in. The blessing talked about our son's life and him serving a mission and having a family one day. It was neat to know that my husband is worthy to be able to have the priesthood.

Tyson started working for Supreme Green just about that time and I worked up until we had our son.. and then I went back to work about 8 weeks after he was born. I do hair only one day a week and then work waiting tables about 3 to 4 nights a week.

Tyson also went back to school this last Fall. He is working on becoming a fireman. His ultimate goal is to one day work in Las Vegas! I'm a little nervous about it, but I also want to support him in his decisions.

Anyhow, this is just a little bit about us this past year... :D

Busy Bee's!

Things have been so busy for us... I've been working nights lately and Tyson days. It's a bummer because we don't get to see each other that often... especially because by the time I get home from work I'm exhausted. =S
Parks has been teething. It's not very fun at all. He has a hard time calming down...ugh!

BUT if I turn on the old vacuum... he's out like a light!! Do babies just like a loud noise?! He likes the noise of my blow dryer just as much as the old vac! ah... well, at least he calms down and gets some much needed rest!
Parks is also learning to crawl.. these are a few of his attempts to crawl. Stink bug style!

Here's a few of his 6 month bath pictures. He still enjoys bath time! I'm glad... :D

It's been really fun to see him grow up. I can't believe he's already almost 7 months old! TIME FLIES! I'm really excited to continue to see him grow up, as I will be able to teach him many new things and see him experience so many things for the first time! He's such a blessing and such a joy! I love you "P" man! :D xoxo
